The Monkey can reveal that Independent Alliance Councillor Victor Thompson is set to quit his Westoe seat in 2010.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that Victor has had enough of the ‘political thing’ and wishes to get on with the things he really enjoys, politics not being one of them.
Sources have told The Monkey Victor has already informed the Branleys and that they have a surprise replacement lined up for 2010.
The Monkey wonders whether this ‘suprise’ candidate is long time friend Ron Reynolds, although don’t rule out a close associate of one the borough’s leading political figures!
